Because of the Lord’s great love, we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness. Lamentations 3:22,23
The word compassion literally means ‘to walk along beside’ – entering into another person’s suffering by our presence and our support. That is what God offers us in this Bible promise. He is Love and his heart overflows with tender longing and care for every person. He wants to walk through every trouble with us. His compassionate presence will ensure we are not eaten up by troubles. We need only invite him to help us and he will. As sure as the sunrise every day is God’s faithfulness to those who claim his promises. MH

FINDING A REFUGE
The Lord is a refuge for the oppressed, a stronghold in times of trouble. Those who know your name will trust in you, for you LORD, have never forsaken those who seek you. Psalms 8:9,10
Throughout the centuries of this world’s history people have often had a reason to hide from evil people, wars, persecution or natural disasters. Some people have hidden in basements, in walled cities, in castles, in churches, in jungles, in caves, in mountains or in the protection of strong people. Whether you need a place of safety physically, emotionally or spiritually you will find God a true place of refuge. He is a stronghold for anyone in need. He is mighty in power and loves you intensely. He can and will care for anyone who trusts in his name. So ask him to help you today, for he will never forsake those who seek him. MH
