Cast your cares on the Lord and he will sustain you; he will never let the righteous be shaken. Psalm 55:22 NIV
The early onset of labor, a doctor’s disbelief, and the circumstances of my birth all played a part in the loss of my first child at approximately 26 weeks of gestation. I was alone in the hospital – after my waters broke, in a foreign country, with my husband at work and no family or friends for support.Yet, I was not alone in my whispered prayers and shed tears; a compassionate Heavenly Father observed and sent support and kindness through Dr. Rosevere. She attended the birth of my first, tiny, stillborn son, and our shared sorrow forged a deep bond of friendship. As the house surgeon for a leading gynecologist, she was there for the birth of my second child, and without her and the Professor, I would have lost my second son as well. She left to further her studies for two years, but upon my arrival to deliver my third son, she had just returned from England and offered to deliver my baby. Her care was filled with such warmth and kindness. In her, I witnessed the gentle love of God that constantly sustained my heart. God grieves over our distress. As we go to him with our troubles, he works in wonderful ways to care for us and bring comfort and help to our situation. He will do the same for you.
