Everyday Promises – 184

Refreshed By God

Repent, then, and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped out, that times of refreshing may come from the Lord, Acts 3:19 NIV

At one time I was teaching at a school that was less than a kilometre from the beach. In the summer, the temperatures would climb into the 30’s, and that was arduous when you where on yard duty in the burning sun. However, faithfully every day at 1pm the sea breeze would arrive. That lovely wind would lift our spirits, fan our hot faces and cool our burning shoulders. It was such a relief. Don’t let the weight of unforgiven sin sap your strength like the hot, midday sun. Jesus carried the burden of your sin to the cross and paid the penalty for it, by his death. He longs to wipe away your wrongdoing and refresh your heart with his presence. Go to him and be revitalised today!
