…For he has clothed me with garments of salvation and arrayed me in a robe of his righteousness, as a bridegroom adorns his head like a priest, and as a bride adorns herself with her jewels. Isaiah 61:10 NIV

I love to see a bride on her wedding day, in her exquisite white dress adorned with lace, jewels and tulle. I enjoy taking in every detail of her beautifully styled hair, makeup and flowers. Even more beautiful than wedding attire are the garments of salvation God gives to us when we accept Jesus as our Saviour. The pristine, white robe he offers is his pure and spotless life. Even though his feet walked the dusty roads of earth, his life was never tarnished by sin. He gained the victory for the whole human race by keeping the law perfectly. His death paid the penalty for our sins. He died for you because he loves you. He longs for you to put on the garments of salvation, prepaid with his blood, so that you can live with him forever in the earth made new.
