Royal seals have been used throughout the centuries to declare the approval, authenticity or ownership of the king. Important documents were stamped with the royal seal to declare to whom they belonged. Letters were secured by a seal to protect them from tampering and protect the integrity of the message. This promise assures us that when we hear and believe that Jesus is the son of God, who lay down his life to purchase our pardon, his Holy Spirit like a royal seal is laid upon us. It gives the royal approval of the King of Kings. It authenticates our adoption to sonship and our acceptance into his kingdom. The Holy Spirit secures our lives to Jesus, protecting, guarding and guiding us to our eternal home.
