but I will not take my love from him, nor will I ever betray my faithfulness. Psalm 89:33 NIV
Joyce Landorf was born into a pastor’s home and gave her heart to Jesus at 7 years of age. But sometime in her adult life she lost sight of God. Suffering from a difficult marriage she decided to take her own life. One day in her distress she went into her bathroom, took out a blade and was about to slash her wrists when the telephone rang. She tried to ignore it until it stopped, but it went on continuously. Eventually she put down the blade and went to answer the phone. The voice on the other end said, “I don’t know what you’re doing right now, but stop whatever it is and listen to me.” That was the turning point for Joyce. She discovered just how precious she was to God. That God himself could intervene in her plan and save her life changed her. God loves you in just the same way. You are of supreme importance to him. He cares about every struggle you face and every sorrow you meet. He will never stop loving you. Turn to him in your distress for God has promised he will work everything for your good. You can depend on his faithfulness.
