Minute Meditations of Hope and Encouragement #47

The most quoted psalm and the one most of us know by memory is the 23rd. You may be interested to know that in psalm 23:4 the word death is not in the Hebrew. It should read “even though I walk through the valley of shadows, I fear no evil for you are with me…” Notice the He/me relationship in verses 1-3 and the I/You in verses 4-6. In this psalm the relationship is intensely personal. Vs 1-2 I am the sheep He is the Shepherd. Vs 3 & 4 I am the traveller He is the Guide. Vs 5 & 6 I am the guest, He is the Host. “And I shall dwell in the house of the Lord forever.”
