Through all the sermons and testimonies of the book of Acts the overarching theme is the resurrection of the promised Messiah. The power of his resurrection is the assurance of ours. E.g., Acts 4:2 the Sadducees were “annoyed because they were teaching the people and proclaiming in Jesus the resurrection from the dead…v33 and with great power the apostles gave their testimony to the resurrection of the Lord Jesus and great grace was upon them.” This was the story of Acts throughout and the foundation of the Christian church.
