Because of the Lord’s great love we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness. Lamentations 3:22,23

The word compassion literally means ‘to walk along beside’ – entering into another person’s suffering by our presence and our support. That is what God offers us in this Bible promise. He is Love and his heart overflows with tender longing and care for every person. He wants to walk through every trouble with us. His compassionate presence will ensure we are not eaten up by troubles. We need only invite him to help us and he will. As sure as the sunrise every day is God’s faithfulness to those who claim his promises.
