My older brother had an appetite like a bear just out of hibernation. He was always hungry so you would often find him foraging through the fridge or cupboards. Mum had a difficult time filling up that bottomless pit. I remember him eating 12 weetbix or more for breakfast. Jesus, in the Matthew 5 discourse, is describing the characteristics of a true seeker after God. If we hunger and thirst for the living God it will truly change our lives. For He will fill us with the fruit of the Spirit; love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self control. As we seek God our lives will be enriched, enlarged and blessed abundantly. How is your appetite?
