The Lord answered Moses, “Is the Lord’s arm too short? Now you will see whether or not what I say will come true for you.” Numbers 11:23 NIV

There came a time when our family could no longer manage financially on one wage. In fact, things were getting desperate. I began to pray that somehow God would help me find a job in the small NZ town in which we lived. I searched the local paper employment listings. To my astonishment there was an ad for a teaching position, to begin in the final Term. I saw this as an immediate answer to prayer but there were many obstacles in the way. At the interview I explained my dilemma. I had only Australian teaching credentials and minimal experience. The position was to start in about 4 weeks. The Principal was extremely kind but informed me that it could take as much as 12 weeks to gain permission to teach, and without one year of experience, getting approval at all was doubtful. I filled out all the forms and prayed earnestly that God would help me. To the Principal’s amazement my approval came in 4 weeks with directives for PDs to get me up to speed. And so the Lord provided the money we needed. God is mighty and powerful, his arm is not short and he can help us at any time. Whatever difficulties you face, our caring God will provide a solution. Just ask him.
