Though my father and mother forsake me, the Lord will receive me. Psalms 27:10
Our earthly mothers and fathers can let us down. My father, a travelling salesman, abandoned us when I was as yet unborn. It swept our family into many years of poverty, heartache and difficulties which began with our caravan home being repossessed. The agent dumped all the family possessions out on the road and drove away. Fathers and Mothers may forsake a child because of selfishness, poverty, or the difference of belief or behaviour. Yet God our Heavenly Father longs for us to be part of his family. When we ask him to save us it is like being born into his family. It is where we really belong and he will never forsake us. He will always care for our needs with tender compassion and love.
You truly understood pain and heartache even before your little mouth could form those words.
Praise our compassionate and loyal Saviour that He found you.
Thank you Michelle.
