Delivered!

…The Lord sets prisoners free, Psalm 146:7 NIV

Sundar Singh determined every year to travel to Tibet and preach the gospel. One year he faced more persecution than usual. In Razar he was arrested by guards and thrown into an old well to die. The lid was locked by the Grand Lama who had the only key. Sundar prayed for deliverance, his arm was broken in the fall and after 3 days without food or water he knew he would die soon. Suddenly, he heard the key turn in the lock above and the lid opened. A rope was thrown down and he climbed into the loop at the end, strong arms pulled him up and soon he fell over the well edge onto the ground. He sat up to thank his helper but no one was there. He washed, ate and returned to the marketplace to preach. An hour later he was arrested again. The Grand Lama demanded to know who had helped him escape. He had the only key. He pulled out his keys expecting the key to be missing, but there is was on his key ring. Fear covered his face and he told the guards to take Sundar out of the town and set him free. Your prison may not be physical but God can deliver you from anything that holds you captive. Just go to him asking for deliverance, and he will set you free.
