When I was a teenager I tried hard not to be at home when my stepfather was there. He was never pleasant to be around and so I most often found my way into other homes and families. It was nice to feel included by many dear people and it filled a great need in my life. They gave me the right to belong and be valued. Unfortunately, they were fleeting times because change comes to everyone. There is one family however, where we will always be welcome. When we accept Jesus as our Saviour, we are given the right to be a part of God’s family. God wants us to belong, he values us, he loves us. If you need a place to call home, Jesus offers you his place. He wants you to be in his family, to share his fellowship and feel eternally secure.
