When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you… Isaiah 43:2 (first half)
We were on the final leg of our holiday to the South Is of NZ. The rain had been torrential for a week and at Greymouth we found we were trapped. The roads were closed due to landslides or flooding. No accommodation was available and our ferry back to the North Island was leaving the following day. We prayed earnestly that God would help us. We picked the road that appeared to have the lowest water level, asked a council truck to go in front of us and we tucked ourselves in the shallowest part of the wake. To our horror, in the middle of the crossing the ignition lights came on. We pleaded with God to help. To our utter amazement the car kept moving until we were safely on the other side. I am sure an angel pushed us. No matter what flood water you face God has promised to be with you. Call on his name and trust him to help you get through!
I’m impressed, I have to admit. Rarely do I come across a blog that’s both equally educative and interesting, and let me tell you, you’ve hit the nail on the head. The issue is something that too few folks are speaking intelligently about. I am very happy I found this during my search for something concerning this.
