I no longer call you servants, because a servant does not know his master’s business. Instead, I have called you friends, for everything that I learned from my Father I have made known to you. John 15:15 NIV
There have been many real friendships in the world. One in particular stands out to me, and that is the friendship between Queen Victoria and Abdul Karim. A most unlikely friendship and frowned on by the British aristocracy. He was sent as a gift from India to assist at the Diamond Jubilee but he became the Queen’s closest confidant. What she loved most was being able to talk to him about everything. He was a servant that became a friend. Jesus offers us that kind of friendship. His death opened the door to a relationship where God shares his hopes and dreams with us through the Bible. He longs for us to share everything with him, because what matters to us matters to him. Be blessed as you develop a real friendship with Jesus today.
