My youngest granddaughter had a dear little lavender Elephant head attached to a mini blanket square that she called Effie. Now without Effie she could not sleep, in fact, the house would be turned upside down if Effie was lost. No amount of bribery, substitution, or distraction made the slightest difference. Chaos ensued until that little purple elephant was found. When Effie was restored to her arms all was well in the world, and she would cuddle up with it and go to sleep. God’s promises are like that Effie. We can cuddle up and be at rest knowing that not one of God’s good promises have ever failed. We can have absolute trust in the word of our Heavenly Father, for he loves us immearsurably and everyone of his promises are for us.
