Howard Kelly was a nature lover who enjoyed roaming the hills of northern Pennsylvania when he had the time. One day, when he was out walking he became incredibly thirsty. He decided to stop at a farmhouse and ask for a drink of water. A little girl answered his knock and he asked politely for a glass of water. Soon the girl returned with a long, cool glass of milk. He thanked her and went on his way, but he never forgot the kindness shown that day. Years later, when he was a respected Doctor at the local hospital, a young woman came in needing immediate medical attention. He recognised her as the girl who had given him a glass of milk. After the successful surgery, the bill was delivered on her discharge. Over the huge cost of the hospital visit were written the words, PAID IN FULL WITH A GLASS OF MILK. This story is a good illustration of our promise today. The Lord bestows favour and honour on those who try to live for him each day. He delights to give his children wonderful gifts to brighten their lives, as they have brightened the lives of others.  Be on the lookout for the many blessings God does in your life, and know that you are loved.
