I boarded at a Christian College for 3 years, to complete my teaching DipEd. Now, wherever I travel in Australia, there is a warm welcome if I meet up with fellow students from my college classes. It is like belonging to one big family. How pleasant it is to enjoy their fellowship. When I was a teenager, we had a young man join our church who had been disowned by his parents, because he chose to be a Christian. He was devastated but determined that no matter what, he wanted to follow God. When he stepped into our church he was enveloped in a circle of care. One of the church members opened their home to him, and everyone surrounded him with kindness and support. This verse tells us that when we live for God, he opens his arms, and we are immediately included in his family. No matter what our culture, ethnicity or colour we are loved, valued and belong to him.
