No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can endure it. 1 Corinthians 10:13 NIV

There is a battle raging for every soul. Satan, the master of deception and hate wants to take as many human beings as he can to eternal destruction. Our promise today assures us that we can be shielded by the grace God, so the Devil’s plans are thwarted. However, we too have a part to play in this battle. To be surrounded by God’s protection and imbued with his strength, we must invite Jesus to abide in our heart every day. We must also guard our senses, for these are the avenues to the soul. What we watch, read, listen to and reflect on, can bring strength, or open the door wide for the evil one to take us down. If you have been defeated. Look up! Ask for forgiveness! Our loving, heavenly Father is ready to forgive and help you. The Holy Spirit is ever beside those who place themselves in the Saviour’s care. Give Jesus your hand and he will lead you safely through every temptation and bring you to his eternal kingdom.
