Everyday Promises -227

The Care of the Lord

But the eyes of the Lord are on those who fear him, on those whose hope is in his unfailing love, to deliver them from death and keep them alive in famine. Psalm 33:18-19 NIV

More than ever before we are struggling with continuous difficulties. We see loved ones dying from pandemics, we have experienced lock downs and isolation, commodity prices are rising, interest rates climbing, food shelves empty, and there is a bleak outlook for the planet, There are wars, threats of war, famines, earthquakes, floods and fires. Violent storms are devastating our homes, crime is escalating, and the housing shortage creating a new generation of homeless people. Jesus himself predicted in Matthew 24, that just before he returned, these troubles would occur with growing frequency. Until recently, we have hardly been touched by major disasters. Now people are struggling with fear, hopelessness and want. Like no other time before, we need this promise. If we love and worship God he has promised to look after us, despite our circumstances, for his eyes are ever watching his children. He is ready to help, deliver and be near you at this time. You can trust in the Lord today, and share that hope, so others can find comfort too.
