Surely the Sovereign Lord does nothing without revealing his plan to his servants the prophets. Amos 3:7 NIV

We are engaged in a battle between good and evil. Our commander and chief, the Sovereign Lord, wanted to inform us of his plans, that would forewarn and prepare us for the final events in this world’s history. Throughout time God has spoken to his people through his prophets. God selected devout men and women to communicate his words and they were written down in the Bible. Past events have been fulfilled, though predicted centuries before. Some prophecies are still to take place. We can be certain that what the Bible says will come to pass. We can depend upon our great God to keep his word. In his discourse on the time of the end, Jesus said, “Watch out for false prophets…” Matt 7:15, so we know that God still intends to communicate with us in this way. However, if we hear of a prophet, we need to test the veracity of their claims and their life, by using the tests of a prophet found in the Bible. God wants to guide you safely to his kingdom. Be on your guard, study his good word, test the prophets and be ready for Jesus to come.
