God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble. Psalm 46:1 NIV

When we choose to be a Christian we do not begin a charmed life that has no trouble in it. We are creatures bound by time and must live in this world for as long as God has ordained or until he returns. This promise assures us that God will be ever present. As the world gets older and the turmoil and difficulties increase, the God who loves us will be by our side. He is a strong place to hide when trouble comes and he will give us the strength to meet all the demands of life.
