God's Direction

This is what the Lord says— your Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel: “I am the Lord your God, who teaches you what is best for you, who directs you in the way you should go. Isaiah 48:17 NIV

While on a journey to a camporee, Cam, his wife, and their church’s Kid’s Club stayed at a church school hall for a few days. One night, vandals broke into a school bus on the premises. Cam called a school number to report the incident, but unexpectedly reached the Victorian Education Director. The Director immediately offered Cam a teaching position at the school. Overwhelmed, Cam considered the offer. His wife, however, was adamant about not leaving Western Australia, where they had job prospects and a potential rental home. Seeking divine direction, they prayed for the principal to contact them, which she did shortly after. They learned their rental application in W.A. was unsuccessful. In faith, Cam requested a sign from God regarding the salary. After discussing with his wife, they concluded the initial wage was insufficient. Cam informed the Director of their financial needs without disclosing the amount. Remarkably, the Director returned with an offer matching their exact financial requirement. Convinced of divine intervention, Cam accepted the position, and they became a blessing to the school. If you are unsure about the future remember God has promised that he will show you the way to go.
