Our genome is inherited from our parents. I believe that genome comes, half from your mum and half from your dad. We cannot inherit anything they do not have as part of their genome. Adam and Eve lost immortality when they sinned in the Garden of Eden. That is why the Bible tells us that we are perishable seed and one day will die. So, to be born imperishable, our lives must begin again. We need to be born of God. But how does that happen? Our promise today tells us we are born again through the living and enduring word of God. And Jesus is that Word of God. John 1:14 says The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us… It is by accepting the Word (Jesus) as our Saviour; by baptism and the indwelling Holy Spirit, that we become part of God’s family and imperishable. We inherit life everlasting and will put on immortality when Jesus comes again in the clouds. Choose Jesus today, stay connected and inherit eternal happiness.
