If you believe, you will receive whatever you ask for in prayer.” Matthew 21:22 NIV

As a child our family was relatively poor. To make ends meet my Mother did housecleaning for people. One day she had to walk the 5 km to one client’s home because she had not a cent left. The lady of the house usually left Mum’s pay on the table. Mother was feeling very unwell but needed her pay so she struggled through the walk and the work. By the time she had finished she was exhausted. To her dismay when she went to get her pay the lady had left no money. With tears filling her eyes she locked the door and began a slow walk home. She whispered out a desperate prayer to God for help. As she walked behind the bus stop she noticed some money on the ground. She stooped to pick it up and discovered it was the exact amount for a bus ride home. Our God cares. He loves us and has promised to give us whatever we ask for in prayer. We need to pray and believe in his unfailing love.
