Darkness and light are a powerful illustration of the characteristics of evil and good. Most often dark hearts, do dark deeds, in the dark. In comparison, the sun illuminates our world bringing colour, joy, alertness, and invigoration. Don’t you just love being outside on a sunny day? It cheers my heart, raises my hopes and makes me want to smile at everyone. Everything in this world was dark, until Jesus came. He is the light of the world. If we allow him to, he will fill our lives with light too. His light changes everything. Darkness is driven out and our souls are warmed with God’s presence. As children of light, we can’t help but reflect the character of our Great God, full of goodness and truth. Be filled with his light today.
