“I the Lord search the heart and examine the mind, to reward each person according to their conduct, according to what their deeds deserve.” Jeremiah 17:10 NIV

Just as apples grow on apple trees and figs grow on fig trees, so Christians produce good works. Our deeds do not save us, but they define us. Jesus said, “by their fruits you will know them.”  So, when our lives are filled with the love of God, he motivates us to be his hands, his feet and his words of hope and cheer. As we live our lives for Jesus, it helps people to see a true picture of what God is like. When our walk in this sin-sick world is done, we will be rewarded for our efforts to bring glory to God’s name. Those rewards will far surpass anything we could imagine, so don’t get discouraged as you do all you can for others, for your reward is sure.
