For I am the Lord your God who takes hold of your right hand and says to you, Do not fear; I will help you.    Isaiah 41:13 NIV

It is delightful to watch my grandchildren walking with their Dad. If the road is rough Dad will hold their hand. If the road is steep Dad will pull them gently upward. If they are walking on a wall for the sheer fun of it, Dad will hold their hand to keep them from falling off. God is our Father and he offers his children this same support. He longs to keep us safe. He wants to protect us from falling into sin. His hand empowers us so we do not get exhausted. We need never be afraid to walk the road of life when we have such a mighty hand to hold.
