Three surf lifesavers were out training off Ocean Beach, in Wangerai NZ, when a pod of dolphins surrounded them. The men were surprised and tried to head back to the beach, but the dolphins kept circling. Suddenly they spotted a 3 metre great white shark swimming toward them. The dolphins continued to surround the men, staying close for about 40 minutes until the great white slowly moved on. As soon as the shark was gone the dolphins disappeared from view. All the men were convinced that the dolphins had protected them from the shark. There are many dangers in this world both physical and emotional. People, individually or collectively, can be like that great white shark, out to destroy us with hate, anger, violence and power. God has promised that if we are in trouble, he will keep us safe and hide us under his protection. No matter what we face we can rely on God to come to our aid. He hears the voice of his children and somehow will bring good out of the bad.
