But as for you, be strong and do not give up, for your work will be rewarded.” 2 Chronicles 15:7 NIV

 Amy Carmichael suffered much ill health as a young woman. However, she felt called to be a missionary, although her family and friends thought this impossible. Amy determined that no matter what she would go to India. That was the beginning of 55 years of service rescuing young women from prostitution and caring for orphans. We have all been called to different work for the Lord. He wants to use our special talents to share his love. We will find challenges along the way, but this verse encourages us to be strong, and persevere because we will be rewarded by the joy of seeing others put their trust in God. And there will be greater rewards to come, so keep on.
