Have you ever wanted to trade places with someone? Maybe your poverty for their riches? Their fame for your humble insignificance? A movie came out in 2018 that took up the true story of twin sisters that swapped places on their 30th birthday, just for fun. Unfortunately, one of the sisters was murdered that very day and all sorts of horrors followed the event. Today’s promise tells us that Jesus swapped places with you when he died on the cross. He took our sins upon himself and died the death that we deserved. In replacement, we get righteousness, forgiveness and eternal life. Unlike the twins swap, that ended in tragedy, the swap Jesus made with us brings joy and peace. The immense love that motivated God to take our place and our destiny, is profound and boundless. He still offers that swap. You need only claim it as your own and a sublime future awaits.
