Remember this: Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously. 2 Corinthians 9:6 NIV
There are some people who achieve greatness in their given field of expertise; painters, actors, scientists, doctors, writers, inventors, sports personalities and a few polititians. These people do not fall into greatness. Every one has worked with dogged determination to achieve. They have sowed effort generously and reap the reward. Farmers too, know about sowing generously so they can realise an incredible harvest. This promise encourages us to sow lavishly for God. You might wonder what you have to sow that will benefit God. We each have God-given gifts to use liberally in his work. My church is blessed with people who sing, who play an instrument, who contribute with money, who teach, preach, pray, work with children or are always available to help. These same people touch the world by helping in soup kitchens, entertaining, sharing SMS promises, helping in community ventures, assisting in disasters, giving to good causes and living the love of God in word and action. Working for the Lord with all your heart, mind and strength will win a harvest of souls for the kingdom. Ask God what he wants you to sow for him. He will show you and empower you to do your best.
