But God will never forget the needy; the hope of the afflicted will never perish. Psalm 9:18 NIV

Jesus answered, “If you want to be perfect, go, sell your possessions and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. Then come, follow me.”  Matthew 19:21 NIV. Jesus was speaking to the rich young ruler when he said these words. Those with wealth have a responsibility to the poor. God is compassionate and loving and he wants us to live out his love by helping those less fortunate than ourselves. However, people can be needy in so many ways. There are those that are sick, struggling mentally, lonely, burdened, in danger or depressed. You may even be one of those needy souls. Remember God loves you. He cares about every sorrow and difficulty you face. Go to him with your burdens for God will certainly work on your behalf. Then, as you are blessed – bless others.
