For he says, “In the time of my favor I heard you, and in the day of salvation I helped you.” I tell you, now is the time of God’s favor, now is the day of salvation. 2 Corinthians 6:2 NIV

How profound is this verse? God is outside time. For him everything is in the present. So, his favour is always present for us, and his salvation is always available. His love and constancy are ever abiding. Yet it appears that before we have even asked for his favour it is accomplished. Even before we claimed salvation it was done. It is indeed true that our salvation was totally and completely accomplished on the cross. The action and fulfillment where in his hands alone. While we were sinners Christ died for us. Every human child, the exquisite and crowning act of his creation, is precious to God. He loves you with an everlasting, powerful love. Powerful enough to take the penalty for your sins on himself. Be assured as you make Jesus your friend every day, you will have his favour and love surround you.
