Whoever pursues righteousness and love finds life, prosperity and honor. Proverbs 21:21 NIV
While convalescing at his grandfather’s home in the Ukraine, Boris Dotsenko accidently rolled off the hay in the old barn and fell down the back wall. He landed on some old papers and discovered a Bible beneath. Living in a Communist country meant it was a crime to own a Bible, yet his curiosity was aroused so he smuggled the Bible into his bedroom. For several weeks he read the Bible voraciously until one day it disappeared. However, Boris could not forget what he had read. He again encountered a Bible in the office of a professor at the University of Leningrad. After receiving his Ph.D. in physics and mathematics in Moscow, he worked as a nuclear physicist. He was sent to Alberta, Canada on a fact-finding mission and to his delight found a Gideon’s Bible in his motel room. He immersed himself in God’s word, gave his life to Jesus and sort asylum in Canada. His desire for the truth filled his life with the love of God and brought him freedom. There are good things waiting for all who put their hand in God’s. Try it and see.
