I was wandering the beautiful grounds of the Christian College I was attending, when I got caught in a wild summer storm. The large hail fell with ferocity and stung my head, my shoulders and arms. I looked around seeking for shelter and saw a large, spreading tree some distance away. I ran swiftly to the protection of the thick foliage. The hail lay, thick as snow on the ground all around me. Living in this world is like being caught out in many wild storms. Those storms ravage our lives, and we would be cut down by them if we did not have God as our refuge. He knows everything about you dear reader. He sees your throbbing heart, every tear you shed, every burden you bear. In deep love he is bending over you, to offer strength, peace, comfort and refuge. No one who seeks his presence with be turned away. Do not let the evil one destroy you. Find protection, love and healing beneath the shadow of his wings.
