… The Lord doesn’t see things the way you see them. People judge by outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.” 1 Samuel 16:7 NLT

In the promise today God assures us that we need never be afraid of being judged like the world judges. In this world people value looks, money, stature, strength, heritage, fame and brilliance no matter what the person is really like. Even Samuel was impressed by the fine good looks of the older sons of Jesse. However, like being under the microscope in a laboratory, God sees to the very heart. Character is of infinite importance to God. We were created in the image of God but sin despoiled the human race. God wants to begin the restoration of his image in us now. Allow the Holy Spirit to dwell within and begin a journey with God to restore in you the image of God. Don’t worry about the false standards of the world, be transformed from the heart out and be the beautiful you.
