All right then, the Lord himself will give you the sign. Look! The virgin will conceive a child! She will give birth to a son and will call him Immanuel (which means ‘God is with us’). Isaiah 7:14 NLT

Just imagine if you can, that you had some pet rats. You loved those rats, everyone was precious to you, but they kept hurting each other. You were worried that if they continued being vicious there would soon be none left. You tried talking to them. You remonstrated, advised, and encouraged. You read out the rat rules for living happily together. Nothing made any difference. At last, you decided that you should become a rat, then you would be able to talk their language, show them a better way and help them be happy forever. However, the professor who said he would help you achieve this change, warned you that once you become a rat, you could never change back. Would you be willing to help those rats? God was willing us. He loves us so much that he took on the garb of humanity for all time.  Jesus became a human baby. He stepped into time to rescue us. He showed us the Father, he took our punishment, and he will come again to take us home. Keep trusting Jesus, for what he says he will do.
