You are my hiding place; you will protect me from trouble and surround me with songs of deliverance. Psalm 32:7 NIV
When I was a teenager my first job was at a Bookbindery. I began as the tea girl, the bottom of the ladder job. I quickly picked up the work and was soon performing efficiently. I didn’t remain the tea girl for more than a few weeks. Whatever the reason for the shift, the previous tea girl was put back into the position. She became my instant enemy. At every opportunity she was hateful and derogatory. Yet all her anger missed the mark. God seemed to tuck me into his hiding place and my coworkers were amazed by my calmness at those times. More than ever before we need a safe place to exist. We may face many horrendous physical, mental or emotional circumstances and difficulties but as we call on Jesus, he will fill us with peace and strength. We will know his presence. Call on him for he is our hiding place.
