I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you with my loving eye on you. Psalm 32:8 NIV
I must confess that I have a dreadful sense of direction. In any new situation if I turn around twice I can be completely lost. Due to our varied commitments my husband and I often went in separate cars to social functions. We would arrive and leave at different times. Going somewhere new, in daylight, was not so bad but after dark if I needed to drive home it was a problem. Invariably, I would head out of the driveway and turn in the wrong direction. In the darkness two little voices behind me would say, “Mum……, you’re going the wrong way.” My two dear boys, about 7 and 9 had a better sense of direction than me. I trusted them and we would always get safely home. God too has a better sense of direction than us. He is all-seeing and all-knowing. We cannot even see into the mist of tomorrow. God has promised to instruct us in the way we should go. He loves us and he wants us to safely navigate the path to our heavenly home. Be listening for his loving whispers, for he will direct you.
