You will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast, because they trust in you. Isaiah 26:3 NIV
Common to all humanity is the struggle for survival. We all need provisions sufficient to our needs, love, shelter, safety, rest and peace. Peace and rest are by far the hardest to attain. On every hand we see turmoil, trouble, wars, famines, pestilence, pandemics, illness, want, evil and greed. Even in our homes peace is a rare commodity. True peace is only found in God. He offers us a better way to live life than to run about striving for all the things that don’t fulfill life’s real essentials. When we put our life in God’s hands he has promised to look after all our needs, our soul hunger, our physical wants, our desire for love and relationship and our necessity for true rest. Go to God today, fill your mind with his precious word, trust him and ask for his peace, it will be like a safe harbour for your soul.
Yes, Godly peace is like no other, even though your personal world has turned upside down God’s peace over comes all pain, sorrow and heart break, it is truly wonderful.
