The Christian faith does not offer a peaceful way to come to terms with death; it offers a way to overcome death, pain and suffering. The resurrection of Jesus is the convincing proof for this. The Bible stakes God’s reputation on His ability to restore creation to its original state of perfection. Along with Paul, the Apostles, Patriarchs and millions of martyrs, I also stake my hope in the resurrection – a time when Christ will “Transform our lowly bodies so that they will be like His glorious body.” Phil 3:21.
