Christ does not want to be our helper he wants to be our life. Then Jesus said, “Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest. 29 Take my yoke upon you. Let me teach you, because I am humble and gentle at heart, and you will find rest for your souls. 30 For my yoke is easy to bear, and the burden I give you is light.” (Matt 11: 28-30.NLT) It is the world that gives us heavy burdens, sometimes even religious ones of works. Jesus said His yoke is easy to bear because He has made the way of eternal life a gift and He will help us live the life. “These things I have spoken to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be if good cheer, I have overcome the world.” John 16.33
