A saved person will believe that Jesus was God incarnate – 100%-man, 100%-God, and that He walked to Calvary a perfect substitution. The law could exact its penalty on nothing less. Behold how the Law is silenced! God’s law having received all that it can demand is not so unrighteous as to demand anything more. All that God can demand of any believing sinner, Christ already paid and there is no voice in earth or heaven that can henceforth accuse any person that believes in Jesus.

Here is rock upon which to lay the foundation of eternal comfort!

Let a person get to this & see that their Lord, without the city gates did bleed for you and me, and on the cross discharged your and my debt and you are now in Him clear and clean, absolved and delivered.

God on a cross, divinity for evermore, divinity from ever before, see he hangs upon the cross; His arms are open wide & He cannot close them, for the nails hold them fast. He tarries for you; His feet are fastened to the wood, as though He meant to tarry still. He tarries for you! His feet were pierced for the wrong places we have been. His hands were pierced for the wrong things we have done. His back was lacerated for the wrong burdens we have borne. His side was pierced for the wrong things we have kept near our heart. He wore a crown of thorns for the wrong things we have thought. He suffered a human death for the wrong thing that we are.
