The fifth book of psalms begins in 107. This collection is “psalms of the return.” 107 talks about Israel’s journey into and back from captivity. Every stanza includes these two verses…(e.g 19 -21) “They cried to the Lord in their trouble and he delivered them from their distress; he sent forth his word and healed them, and delivered them from distruction. Let them thank the Lord for his steadfast love, for his wonderful works to the sons of men…”
