As Christians we have “the blessed hope” with the immensity of eternity spread before us. Paul tells us in 1Cor15:21ff “Christ has been raised from the dead, the first fruits of those who have fallen asleep. For as by a man came death, by a man has also come the resurrection of the dead. For as in Adam all die, so also in Christ shall all be made alive… the last enemy to be destroyed is death…thanks be to God who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. “

Truly, truely I say to you, he who hears my word and believes him who sent me, has eternal life, he does not come into judgment, but has passed from death to life. John 5:24 echoed again in 6:40 and climaxing in 11:25 concerning Lazarus “I am the resurrection and the life, he who believes in me, though he die, yet shall he live and whoever lives and believes in me shall never die. Do you believe this?”
