Our lives are apt to fall apart really quickly in this uncertain world. All our best laid plans can soon be in ashes around our feet, as seen in the tragic  2019-20 bushfires in Australia. Since then there has been an ongoing pandemic, and floods. People strive to fullfill there dreams for a fabulous house, fancy car, and piles of money for entertainment and travel. Yet in an instant it can all be gone. The Bible says, in Matthew 6:19-20 NIV,“Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moths and vermin destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moths and vermin do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal. No disaster can rob you of that treasure. When we seek God and put our effort into our relationship with him, no matter what difficulties surround us, we can rest secure in a better future, held in heaven for us. It is only when we look to the Lord that our feet can be established.
